“Teach us to give and not to count the cost.” ~ St. Ignatius Loyola

I visited the 9/11 Memorial in New York City today, and also went to St. Paul’s where so many were given aid and rest in one form or another in the midst of that fateful day’s events. Many who helped gave and did not count he cost. What a sobering experience to stand in the church that gave so much to so many – over 60,000 people were helped at St. Paul’s in the days that followed. I found a new meaning to generosity today.  The men and women of St. Paul’s gave all they had without even a thought  to their own welfare.

Are there ways people you know have given without counting the cost?
