Reaching Out – And Receiving

Help Others

I watched the news tonight and heard a story of a grandson who, after learning his grandmother’s house was being foreclosed, asked his community for help.  Sometimes we get so caught up in thinking everyone is so out for themselves that no one is kind enough to help.  Truth is, there ARE still people who care, and who will lend a hand – or otherwise – when they have the means to do so, and know the situation.  Read the story HERE.

Think of someone, or some organization or cause, that could be helped, if only you asked. How could you impact your community?  On the other hand, where can you look to do good for someone or something, without waiting to be asked? Do you seek to help others before being asked?

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.  ~Anne Frank

  1. “Everything matters. It all counts..” Inspiring story. Thanks for sharing.

  2. We can do our little acts of kindness in many ways…from offering our seat in the bus to an elderly to simply providing a listening ear to someone with a story to tell.

    • Exactly! Thanks for sharing this, Malou. It is just what another online presence is counting on for Wednesday 15th Feb. I will post the activity later today from Piercing the Darkness.
