Make The Day Beautiful!

Today was a chilly, sometimes snowy day.  Driving through town, I saw a few guys who were still hanging out on the main streets asking for handouts.  Thankfully I had some granola bars tucked in the glove box to give away.  Everyone I handed one to was grateful, and it made me smile to see the smiles on their faces.  I’m glad I had something to share.  Did you make today beautiful by something you did or said? And Not-So-Random Acts

“Oh, thanks – I’m STARVING!” His name is Nathaniel, couldn’t be more than early 20′s – if that. I had driven around the corner to make sure I got a sack lunch to someone on another corner, but God had this young man waiting for me. Don’t get me wrong, the others were all grateful. But Nathaniel – well, for whatever reason, this young man stole my heart.

Random Acts

…Two, in fact!  It’s amazing what we see when we are willing and ready to open our eyes to the world in need around us.  I was driving through downtown, on the way home from a hair appointment. The main boulevard through the city is always filled with homeless (or so it appears) who are pan-handling for “Anything Helps” handouts.
