GYA Today published this post as a response to the shootings in Newtown CT on Friday.  So what would it be like to take on this challenge?  Can you imagine what the world could be if we each took this to heart?  I hope you enjoy the post as much as I did – and imagine if it could be…

Wednesday’s Word – Perserverance

Winston Churchill is credited with saying “If you’re going through hell, keep going.”  Maybe because it’s the end the year and coming to the start of a new one, but as I was thinking of this today, recalling my own “hells” I’ve encountered over the years, I realized it never really paid to give up.  Of course, it crosses everyone’s mind, to give up, walk away, even in the most subconscious ways.  I have found though, a determination in the human spirit – a “will to live” – that in most of us is second nature.

Don’t quit!  If you’re going through hell, keep going.  You will eventually walk through it to the other side…promise!
